The 1989 edition has a total of more than 70,000 periodicals grouped into 245 categories, ranging from Accounting to Zoology.;The guide provides whenever possible, 31 different items of information including title, publisher, address, description of contents, ISSN numbers, book reviews accepted, circulation size, advertising accepted and rate, page size and availability of microform, computer tape and on-line.
