Too much money is a terrible thing. Beatrice doesn't believe that, of course. A successful artist, she worked her way up from humble origins and enjoys the company of old-money aristocrats. Life in their world is paradise: she's certain of it. When the storms of El Niño cause her to become stranded at a remote estate with a group of wealthy horsey types, her belief in that paradise starts to unravel. Dead bodies keep showing up, and a motive for the murders cannot be logically ascertained. An unnatural atmosphere seeps into the grand mansion as personalities start to degenerate.
