When the Crenshaw family moves to Penceleton, Xavier enrolls in a new school named after a mysterious poet: CHARLES P. BROTHERFORD. The overweight, urbane, Xavier isn't worried about fitting in at school; he's not there to make friends (or learn anything)--he's there to snardle.
When Xavier gets partnered with local genius, RUSS PHAN, on a school project, they team up and begin unleashing epic snardles on their teachers and fellow students. But, when they ruin classmate Frannie's birthday pool party, she figures out who did it, and she wants in.
The three form a powerful syndicate that snardles for profit.
Crisis comes when they snardle the whole school and the wrong person gets blamed. The team falls apart in the aftermath, until a despondent Xavier receives a secret note requesting a snardle of extraordinary proportions to occur at the unveiling of Brotherford's diary. Despite his careful planning, Xavier wasn't ready for the terrifying surprise awaiting him, and no one in Penceleton is prepared for what comes next.
The diary is missing, accusations fly, and the team must reform to figure out the identity of the mystery client.
