A young, scraggly blue spruce tree, Spinder knows she is not as majestic as Reverence, the old cedar tree who has been at her side, watching over her whole life. At over a hundred feet tall, Reverence is magnificent and wise. Spinder is so short and small and scrawny looking, she knows she isn't as beautiful as the other spruce trees in the forest nearby and fears that no one will ever love her, or choose her, for their winter celebrations.
Reverence knows better though, having learned long ago that we are all exactly who we are meant to be, and that finding love and acceptance is always possible. It just has to start with feeling that way about ourselves.
