Publisher's Synopsis
This text is the result of my Master's research in Education. The analyses focused on the discipline of Religious Education in public schools, which constitutes an area of tensions and disputes in the legal and theoretical fields. The research produced in the field of Education is relevant in this debate. This is because they not only describe and analyze data and objects, but also construct them. Thus, Religious Education and its curriculum are constructed by the discourses of the theoretical field of Education. The objective of the analyses was to identify, based on the notion of regimes of truth proposed by Michel Foucault, how the discourses used in the researches of Graduate Programs in Education construct Religious Education and its curriculum. It is understood that these different discourses present in the researches establish a dispute in the theoretical field about the offer of the subject.
