Publisher's Synopsis

This text is one of a series of four books which provide material for poetry sessions. The books can be used both as teaching materials and as poetry anthologies. Each book is divided into units which focus on three or four poems linked either by a common theme, a common form, or the work of a particular poet. Follow-up work takes the form of open questions, suggestions for oral, music and drama work, art activities and poetry writing. Each book features well-known and popular poets such as Michael Rosen, Roger McGough, Charles Causley, and Will Ogilvie as well as lesser-known poets. All four books also have a unit featuring Scottish poetry and an introduction for teachers is provided.
