Publisher's Synopsis

Excerpt from Practice in Weaving and Loom-Fixing: A Complete Manual for the Weave-Room

Take the box out, and lay a straight edge on the inside. If the middle rib is higher than the outside ones, two of the best bolts you can find will not keep it from rocking on the frame; andunless you have one or two unsightly pieces Of picking-stick to brace it down, the chances are that you will have to crawl under the loom very Often to tighten the box and bark your knuckles. File across the ribs until your straight-edge shows them to be even, care being taken lest you get them slanting from either Side.
