This paediatric textbook has been revised and updated. The chapters on assessment and care of the child, nutrition, accidents and poisoning, ophthalmology, the gastrointestinal tract and dermatology have been expanded. The psychology chapter has been modified to be more clinical and includes discussions on topics such as crying and sleeping. More information on AIDS has been added to the immumology chapter. A new chapter on adolescence focuses on psychological, social and gynaecological issues.
