Publisher's Synopsis
Poetry in its purest form is less about words and more about the feelings they help convey. The power of poetry is that it manifests feelings in a person that might not have been present before. Love and compassion are within us, and poetry can be the mirror that humanity uses to see itself clearly. This power can be utilized in attempting to change the world.
All over the planet, no matter the region, nor the time period, there has always been a need for growth and improvement. Nowadays, it is even more important, as we all can see, there has been a decline in civility and a rise in cruelty and inhumanity.
Poetry can help improve that situation. Change can be made by connecting people to poems detailing the sort of ideals that humanity needs to grow and change. Bringing people back to the values they were taught by parents and teachers when they were young is another purpose these poems possess.
Ultimately, these poems are important because of the innate power poetry has to influence and deeply affect people. They will help spread civility and remind society of why it is important. After all, we must regain what we have lost. These poems will help begin that process.
Your Civility Poet,
