Publisher's Synopsis
Katie has a crappy apartment, a job she hates, and a childhood she can barely remember. But when her oldest friend, Leland, comes to visit and insists on seeing an old field trip spot, Katie figures it could at least make life more interesting.
HeadStart -- recently rebranded as JumpStart -- has been abandoned since she went with Leland and their class in grade school. A child-sized city made up the building, complete with stores that could employ children, a town hall where kids ran for mayor, and HeadStart's signature characters. HeadStart hasn't changed much, but the things living inside it have. As Katie remembers more and more of her childhood and her first trip to HeadStart, she realizes there's only one thing she can pinpoint at the center of it all: HeadStart's star mascot, Nory.
