HE following sketch of the Rev. Pitt clarke was written by his son, Manlius Stimson Clarke, Esq. It appeared originally in the Rev. S. H. Emery's History of the Ministry of Taunton, a town which formerly included Norton within its corporate limits. Not long after this sketch was written, the author of it joined his father in the world beyond the grave. He was a worthy son of the good and pious man, whose life he had portrayed, and whose Christian Vir tues he emulated.
