Excerpt from Memoir and Letters of the Late Thomas Seddon, Artist
The following is the brief sketch of a life that has been judged by many, who watched its course, to have left fruits worthy of some permanent memorial The Letters, which record its most eventful passages, will best tell its tale. The Editor, fearful lest he should mar by comments of his own the impression made by the character of one whom he loved and revered so greatly, has done little more than add what is necessary to make connected and intelligible the autobiographical materials at his command.
