When in 1875 I removed from Chicago to Jack sonville. Florida, I had comparatively little expo ricuce in the treatment of malarial fevers. I had practiced seven years. And had been with my pre ceptor, Dr. N. F. Cooke, as student for three years and to have a case of chills and fever was rather uncommon.
