Essene and Sejanus, two dominant white-tailed bucks, have an appointment with destiny. However, first they have to get there, which is the real focus of this story. For them to reach their full potential, these massive powerful bucks have to be protected and taught in meticulous fashion by their mothers. Without the matriarchs the white-tailed specie would be doomed. This fictional rendition of the intricate workings of white-tailed society is as much a tribute to the maternal side of the white-tailed world as it is the paternal. Everything has to work together, and work together well, to produce a Master Buck.
