Publisher's Synopsis

A four-volume set of Marilyn Monroe films. The classic comedy 'Some Like It Hot' (1959) opens in February 1929 with unemployed musicians Joe (Tony Curtis) and Jerry (Jack Lemmon) on the run after witnessing the St Valentine's Day Massacre. Pursued by gangsters, the duo are forced to disguise themselves as women and join an all-girl band on the next train to Florida. Comic complications ensue when Joe falls for Sugar Kane (Monroe), the band's singer. In 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' (1953), showgirl Lorelei Lee (Monroe), accompanied by her stage partner and best friend, Dorothy Shaw (Jane Russell), sets sail for Paris where she plans to meet up with and marry her wealthy beau, Gus Esmond Jr. (Tommy Noonan). In 'The Seven Year Itch' (1955), happily-married Richard Sherman (Tom Ewell) is left in New York City while his wife and child go on summer vacation. His lively imaginings of what a summer of freedom has in store seem to have some validity when a beautiful and sensuous young girl (Monroe) moves into the sublet upstairs. Finally, in 'How to Marry a Millionaire' (1953), models Schatze (Lauren Bacall), Pola (Monroe) and Loco (Betty Grable) come up with a scheme to get themselves rich husbands. They rent an expensive New York apartment in the hopes that it will help them attract the attention of eligible men. However, their plan does not turn out as expected...
