Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2005 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Altere Deutsche Literatur, Mediavistik, Note: 1-, Carl von Ossietzky Universitat Oldenburg, Veranstaltung: Artus- und Gralswelt im deutschen Roman um 1200, 13 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Welt um Konig Artus und seine Ritter der Tafelrunde erlebte im deutschsprachigen Raum um 1200 in der hofischen Artusdichtung, die durch Chretien de Troyes in Frankreich begrundet wurde, ihren literarischen Hohepunkt. Neben Hartmann von Aue hat auch Wolfram von Eschenbach sich im "Parzival" des Artusstoffes angenommen, wobei er den Artushof jedoch nicht als einziges Gesellschaftsmodell in seine Erzahlung integriert hat. Mit der Welt des Grals und seiner Ritter, den Templeisen, kam vielmehr eine neue Sphare hinzu, die bereits in Grundzugen im "Percevalroman" von Chretien angelegt worden war. Wolfram gestaltete diese jedoch weiter aus und entwickelte auf diese Weise einen zweiten konkreten Gesellschaftsentwurf neben dem Artushof. Wahrend die Gralsgesellschaft von der Forschung jedoch lange Zeit als Gesellschaftsutopie verklart wurde, fanden Konig Artus und sein Hof kaum Beachtung oder es wurde ihnen eine grundsatzlich negative Bewertung zuteil. So wurde die Gralswelt als ein vollig anderes und ubergeordnetes Gesellschaftsmodell wahrgenommen, wohingegen die Artuswelt als defizitar und existenzunwurdig abgeurteilt wurde. Doch wollte Wolfram mit der Artusgesellschaft tatsachlich Kritik an einem lange Zeit als Ideal verstandenen weltlichen Rittertum uben? Die folgende Ausarbeitung wird sich deshalb schwerpunktmaig mit der Darstellung von Konig Artus und der arturischen Gesellschaft im literarischen Weltentwurf des "Parzival" befassen. Zunachst soll jedoch ein kurzer Einblick in die Tradition des Artusstoffes gegeben werden, um festzustellen, auf welche Weise sich die Figur des Konigs im Laufe der Zeit entwickelt hat.
