Publisher's Synopsis
After coming to appreciate the full extent of his situation, how so many of the decisions he thought to be his own were actually coerced, Atles is stricken. All he can do is put one foot ahead of the next and keep moving, even if they had been coerced the actions were still his and he had claimed ownership of three other lives. Abandoning the position he has been led into would also be catastrophic and though he had no hand in causing it the situation only existed because of him. Despite the situation before him a small, almost irrelevant fact is noticed though.Doing anything with it would be difficult from a perfect position let alone where he currently found himself, it would also be beyond distasteful to all other parties involved, but it would be productive. Before he can turn to anything else though the current state of affairs will need to be resolved, through one fashion or another, and its resolution is likely to make a productive solution even more repugnant if it remains possible at all. If it ever was.
