"In and Out" is a gripping story that follows the journey of two African American stick-up men who seek to escape poverty and the related realities of life on the depleted, mean streets of New Jersey's inner city. What they find is that what's done in the dark always comes to light.
"In and Out" is the first in a five-part series of novels centering on the lives of two best friends who each chose a life of crime at an early age with three objectives: get rich, stay alive, and stay out of prison. "In and Out" is a fictional account of the adventures, trials, and misfortune the two central characters face, replete with fast-paced action, descriptive scenes, and stingingly blunt dialogue that puts the reader in the center of the action. "In and Out" serves as a timely exposé on the lives of young Black men who grow up in the broken homes of the inner cities in every state in America and choose what they soon learn is the wrong path to a quick come-up and the freedom they desire.
The series chronicles the fateful meeting between the two central characters while cutting school as teenagers, their decision to embark on a life of crime, the consequences that follow, the coming of the fate they had both feared, and the choices one friend must make in an effort to keep on keeping on amidst love and unimaginable loss.
