Attempting to shake off writer's block, novelist Fran Miller comes to the Cornish village of Tresidder to spend the summer with her long-time best friend, Lucy. She definitely isn't looking for romance, especially after a painful breakup with her last boyfriend - but it finds her nevertheless in the form of Charlie Boscawen, local baker and heartthrob.
