Publisher's Synopsis
Elizabeth Ming, a 12-year-old, starts off her 7th grade year but, being Asian, her peers look at her as just a smart student who has good grades. However, Eliza wants ever so badly to be more than that. Her journey begins with the school bully, Liz Beckingham. With the same formal name, Liz becomes Eliza's greatest problem as she battles to ignore Liz's hateful words and action. Yet, a new teacher for Language Arts sets her hope up after completing a writing assignment. Through tears and pain, Eliza's whole life may change in her 7th grade year in Colorado.
