Publisher's Synopsis

The adoption of Information and Communication Technologies -ICT- has caused multiple transformations in both the public and private sectors. The use of ICTs in the justice sector streamlines judicial processes. However, this use is also a risk, because justice is part of the critical infrastructure of nations, coupled with the characteristics of the information that concerns the processes, an interruption in the provision of these services would be catastrophic. For this reason, cybersecurity plays a role in every stage of digital judicial processes. In this sense, the objective of this review article is to propose cybersecurity recommendations applicable to digital judicial processes in the Colombian case from a systematic literature review, which allowed to analyze the landscape of digital justice with emphasis on Latin America, ICTs that are commonly used in each of the stages of the digital judicial process, cyber risks, recommendations to address them, and how the functions of the cybersecurity framework of the National Institute of Standards and Technology -NIST- are considered.
