Publisher's Synopsis
This study offers a new version of the Coleridge-Wordsworth interaction during its most crucial years: 1797-1807. The author argues that there was a basic misunderstanding between the two men, and that this very misunderstanding was creative and, for both poets, a means of self-definition.
