In 1951, he won a first prize in a Life magazine competition for Young Photographers. Dennis Stock is widely known for his iconic images of James Dean. Stock has published a number of books including Jazz Street, Brother Sun, and James Dean. Robert Pattinson portrayed Stock in the biographical drama film Life (2015), about his friendship with James Dean. This is the first time California Trip has been reissued since it's publication.
