Offering a survey of the chemistry, pharmacology and behavioural and clinical effects of 5-HT1A receptors, in particular of 8-OH-DPAT, Buspirone and Ipsapirone, this study highlights the potential therapeutic utility of these drugs in the treatment of anxiety and depression.
