The focus of this book is the author's father's eight years of Anti-Japanese War (1937-1945), a compilation of personal and national historical data (main content 1937-1949).He goes from being a 14-year-old junior high school student to a 22-year-old college student, looking back on the important events in history that he experienced through his experiences. Born in an ordinary family in Fengyang, Anhui Province in 1923. He went to primary school in Shanghai and then Nanjing. In 1937 (at the age of 14), when he was in junior high school, the Japanese army attacked Nanjing. He fled from Nanjing with his family, trekking through Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan, Hubei and Hunan, a journey of more than 5,000 li, n arrived in the west of Hunan. After living in there more than a year, he on journey again.
