Frosty the Snowman is a name synonymous with Christmas since the popular Christmas song written by Walter "Jack" Rollins and Steve Nelson was first recorded by Gene Autry and the Cass County Boys in 1950, and later recorded by Jimmy Durante. Since his inception, Frosty has gone on to star in dozens of books, TV specials, and even comic books. Frosty has been a familiar and wonderful part of Christmas for multiple generations of children around the world. Throughout the 1950s, Dell Comics produced an amazing Frosty the Snowman comic book series published annually and featuring the incredible talents of artists such as John Stanley (of Little Lulu fame), Don Gunn and Dan Gormley. In our final tale, Frosty visits the Crystal Castle to help Santa Claus recover some stolen hobby horses from an ice-skating, misunderstood snow witch, who really just wants a new broom.
