After Ebet died, friends and family members told me various stories about their experiences with her, which were quite new to me. I realised there was even more to Ebet than I thought. It was if I had been living beside her for nearly 50 years, whereas others had seen/known her 'face to face'. What a revelation! This led to the idea of inviting friends and family to submit their remembrances for inclusion in a book of Ebet's life. Many people consider themselves fortunate to have one real friend during the course of their lives. Ebet had a countless number. And friendship to her was not superficial or simply a matter of friendly acquaintance. She loved her many friends deeply, making time for them all, keeping in contact and remaining close to each, however far away they might be. This book seeks to bring together the stories, along with some examples of Ebet's own writing and art, to create a lasting memorial to a very 'Special Friend.'
