And the youth who wrote and published anonymously by Jonathan Swift in 1729 This article suggests that poor Irish people may alleviate economic problems by selling their children as food to wealthy gentlemen and ladies. This satirical exaggeration mimics the heartless attitude towards the poor as well as the British policy of the Irish people in general.
