Publisher's Synopsis
Superintendent Megarry's life is in a mess. Separated from his wife, he is drinking too much and is in danger of losing his job. Then he becomes involved in the case of two men murdered on a road outside Belfast, and establishes that each was killed at a different time and with different weapons.
