Publisher's Synopsis

African mud turtle satisfies its name. Its smooth, circular carapace does not have any example and is a uniform dull to light brown. The legs and head are a dim to brown with a light reticulated design on the highest point of the head. Just when the turtle is seen from the base does a shading other than earthy colored become progressively clear: a velvety yellow hue can be seen on the delicate parts underneath. The earthy colored plastron is pivoted and includes some lighter territories among the earthy colored. While pretty much each and every wild Pelusios is some shade of dull earthy colored, those that are conceived in bondage are once in a while shockingly appealing. As the youthful, hostage conceived turtles develop, they become a uniform light cream shading with featured zones of yellow or white. The darker shading is missing, and these adolescents give off an impression of being almost hypomelanistic. In any case, they here and there obscure when they are kept outside solely and presented to common daylight.
