Publisher's Synopsis
Terranova is a critical evaluation of Kingdom Movements methodology which has been implemented in Southern Italy among asylum seekers coming from predominantly Muslim background countries. Kingdom Movements (which include Church Planting movements, Disciple making movements & training for trainers) have become increasingly prevalent as exponential growth of converts and new churches has been observed around the world and, notably, in many places that have historically been considered "hard soil" for the Christian message. Some missiologists claim that there are over 1000 such movements around the world, with only eight of those reported occurring in the Global North. Unprecedented numbers of refugees from the Global South are now establishing themselves in the Global North in pursuit of a brighter future. This phenomenological study utilizes interviews with practitioners implementing Kingdom Movement methodologies among Muslim background asylum seekers in Southern Italy to glean insights and best practices from their shared experiences.
