Publisher's Synopsis

Ending the days of King David, a blessing had been spoken for his son. Before Solomon became King, his father had knelt into prayer asking God to watch over Solomon. His prayers were heard, and Solomon had been given a gift from God in the form of two hawks that had been created to guide him. One was male and the other was female. When one of King Solomon's coveting servants poisons him out of jealousy, he buries him in a tomb along with the hawks. In the year 1988 a young man named Max McMillan attends the Academy of Science and Vision in Manhattan, New York. During his time there he focuses on his studies and keeps the company of only one friend named Felix Cooper. After an archaeologist from the Academy makes the discovery of King Solomon's tomb, he is shocked to learn that the hawks are dead at Solomon's side, but two other hawks had been birthed in their place. The shock is heard around the world. When the two young men are placed onto a team of researchers to study the behavior of the hawks, Max McMillan makes a sudden connection with them. It is not long before the Dean is visited by the government and told that the hawks would be taken from the Academy for further research. After Max and Felix hear about the hawk's futures, they decide that Gods creation should be freed and not enslaved. They are left to make the most important decisions of their lives; too make a stand for what is right or turn away from the truth.
