Publisher's Synopsis
The entity War had chosen well, Lisa Reynolds fought the only way she knew how...to win. Her message spread far and wide, spreading knowledge on how to fight and survive this scourge that was destroying humanity. Those who could, flocked to her banner to fight and survive, for without that, there is nothing. Others formed their own safety niches using the knowledge she sent out through the dying vestiges of the information age, her word was spread. War 'had' chosen well.
The time of plenty ended not with a bang, nor did it wither and dry up, it went out in a spray of viscera rendered by the tooth and nails of their friends and brothers. The world changed within minutes, yet instead of standing slack jawed in astonishment waiting to become the next victim they reacted. Lisa's transmitted message broke through their fog, jump starting them into action. The world had died, but humanity would continue, for someone must feel the brunt of the next player, on deck. Conquest had done it's duty and War would rampage for years to come as the dreaded Famine settled in. Day one of the end was hard, but the years ahead would make those who survived it yearn for that day. The day where they had fought as one, for one day, maybe a week, life had become precious. To end the life of the living was taking a part of what made you whole, away. A day of unity never seen before, a comradery that dwarfed politics and racism, a day where you were judged strictly upon the basis of alive or dead. The demise of humanity would take decades, but what is time to an entity, legend or myth? What is time to one such as War?
