Publisher's Synopsis
Light, a primitive need, light energy which the ancient Egyptians called AKH, light which evokes mystery, has found an impassioned and meticulous expert in Luigi Bussolati (Colorno, Parma 1963). The artist describes his work in this way: "Every photograph is a leg of a voyage of discovery, an experience in which I try to suspend patterns, judgements, in order to follow a different map drawn by the seeing eye". Starting with darkness and using the ray of light projectors, Bussolati magically traces the outline of subjects to photograph and creates enchanting atmospheres. This monograph contains the artist's photography from 1993 to 2002.
