Publisher's Synopsis

Oliver Baldwin, the son of PM Stanley Baldwin, was a man who entered public life as a socialist while his father was a conservative. Having enlisted with the Irish Guards, worked in Armenia, and served tough prison time at the hands of the Bolsheviks and the Turks for seven months, he returned to London to face his father on opposite sides of the Commons. But he was most famous for his journalism, including the stirring piece 'No Fascism for British Youth', written in opposition to the Mosleyite fascists, and his coverage of the Spanish civil war for the Daily Mail.
