Publisher's Synopsis
Avis Leigh was a special kind of nurse in West Australia. She was also a licensed pilot, and covered an area of three hundred thousand square miles, flying from day to day into the remote bushland to take medicine to the settlements and missions in the wilderness. Hers was a lonely fight against disease, a ceaseless struggle against time and distance. Her ruling passion was flying, with nursing a very close second, until two men entered her life. Both appealed in their different ways, and Avis knew love for the first time, but it took a near-disaster to clarify the situation.
