Retail prices for standard grade milk delivered to homes in 24 major cities early in February averaged cents per quart. This average price is onemtenth of 1 cent per quart higher than in January and cents higher than in February 1951. It is 4 cents per quart, or about 21 percent, higher than the February 1946 50 average for this sample of cities. Prevailing retail prices for fresh.milk were reported the same as a year ago in only 8 of these 24 cities -m Hartford, Conn., Jacksonville, Fla., and Portland, Ore.
