The imprint is false; possibly printed in France. In this edition the motto between thin rules under "Linguet" is on the right of the titlepage and volume numbers are between made up double rules with a small ornament in the middle of each rule and small finials at ends of rules; the title in upright capitals except for the italic lower-case "ouvrage p'eriodique." Vol. 1 is dated 1777, vols. 5-7 1779 and vol. 8 1780.
