The purpose of this handbook is to provide guidance on the activities and attitudes which should accompany the use of SSADM.;Because computer systems are developed in widely differing organizations, it is not possible to prescribe one universal method of working. Therefore, the authors have sought to encourage use of the methodology in ways appropriate to individual circumstances. If some of the advice given cannot be applied,it is hoped that it will suggest lines of thought which are both effective and acceptable within a given organization.
