Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from The Fruit Situation, 1939
No other significant changes occurred in citrus fruit prospects from the bloom of 1938 during April. Rail and boat shipments of grape fruit from the beginning of the 1938-39 season to the middle of May were about 22 percent larger than in the corresponding period the previous season, largely because of an increase of 37 percent in shipments from Florida and of 18 percent from Texas. Last year, shipments from Florida were 90 percent completed by the middle of May and those from Texas were finished.
