11: The first side features the author reading from 'The Adventures of Tom Bombadil'; the second begins with the Elvish 'A Elbereth Gilthoniel' and continues into a suite of songs sung by William Elvin with Donald Swann (the composer) at the piano.Auden concludes his note with the flourish that 'As a member of the enchanted party, I have found by experience that it is quite useless to argue with the unconverted'.
