Jefferson Brightstein is an agent in the FBI, the Director's right-hand man. Catleen Wang is new, but she's already determined for everyone to know that she's not here to be underestimated. When Jeff gets kidnapped on Catleen's first day on the job, there are already angry sparks flying between the two agents who have nothing to prove to each other. But they have much bigger problems. With hypnotist serial killer, K, on the loose, it's their responsibility to make sure that he doesn't destroy the world. And that might be easier said than done considering that K has gotten ahold of precious equipment that the FBI developed to transport objects, and even worse, people into alternate dimensions. Assigned on this case together, Catleen and Jeff couldn't be more annoyed, but will they be able to set their differences aside and stop K? Or will the A.D. machine annihilate everything they hold dear?
